As part of our series of events "Abenteuer Heimat" (Adventure at Home), you will visit the Barbara Tower and the visitor gallery of the "Grube Edelstein" (Gemstone Mine) in Luckenbach on this date.
The visitor gallery of the "Grube Edelstein" in the Westerwald community of Luckenbach is the only iron ore mine in the Westerwald district that can still be experienced by locals and tourists today. After a visit to the former winding tower and the opportunity to climb the 96 steps to the viewing platform, there is a guided walk to Luckenbach, where the visitor gallery of the "Grube Edelstein" is visited. Afterwards, there will be the opportunity for refreshments at the Backes before returning to the Barbara Tower. The total length of the walk is about 5 km.

Payment is handled by the Kreisvolkshochschule Altenkirchen.

The event in the series "Abenteuer Heimat" costs €5.00 for adults and €2.00 for children up to 12 years of age and is payable in cash to the tour guide on site.
