Fotoausstellung

Description

Photo exhibition by Regina Brühl and Udo Runnebaum in Gebhardshain town hall
The exhibition was opened on 8 October 2023 together with the 25th Jewellery and Mineral Exchange.
40 photographs from "The world underground in the Bindweide mine".
The impressive photographs quietly and mysteriously show deep insights into the Bindweide mine and thus into the mining history of this former iron ore mine, which was shut down as early as 1931.
The two amateur photographers Regina Brühl from Wallmenroth and Udo Runnebaum from Steinebach/Sieg have known the Bindweide mine for many years. They have participated very successfully in several photo competitions organised there. Most of the photographs on display were taken this spring - a time when the mine was flooded for weeks. With the right lighting and appropriate exposure, the two amateur photographers have succeeded in creating photographic works of art that reflect the Bindweide mine in a new light in the truest sense of the word.
The Bindweide Mine Visitors' Association and the municipality are delighted to present the large-format photos in this appropriate setting.
The photo exhibition will be on display in the foyer and in the corridors on the first floor of Gebhardshain Town Hall during general opening hours until Christmas 2023.
