Big open-air funfair in the district town Live music with 13 bands on three stages (Grosser Markt, Konrad-Adenauer-Platz and Kirchstraße) - plus a funfair tree, barrel tapping, fairground rides, market and fireworks. The Montabaur open-air funfair remains true to itself once again with a spectacle full of highlights.

The fairground society kicks things off with the erection of the colourfully decorated fairground tree at the Catholic church. After gunfire from the St. Sebastianus Montabaur shooting club, the town mayor once again opens the festival weekend with the traditional barrel tapping. Fairgoers can enjoy live bands from cover, soul and rock to hits on all days of the fair. And admission is free! Numerous showmen attract visitors to the Eichwiese fairground with their fairground rides. The popular fair morning pint on the Sunday of the fair after high mass at 10:30 a.m. in the Gebück will once again be organised by the citizens' association in cooperation with the Mendelssohn-Bartholdy 1855 Montabaur choral society.

The Oberkirchspiel-Musikanten will provide the musical entertainment from 11.30 am. Two very special highlights await our younger visitors on the Sunday of the fair from 13:00 - 17:00: Colourful children's face painting at the Grosser Markt and fun balloon modelling as a "walking act" through the town centre. Who has a lucky ticket? This question will also be answered on Sunday afternoon at the fairground society's tombola, which will be held on the stage at the Großen Markt .
