On 7 October 2023, the CREARTE e.V. support association will hold a Peña Latina at 7 pm at the Kulturwerk Wissen for the benefit of the Escuela Popular der Artes music school in Chile.
The group Manzanar will perform with other guest musicians and take the audience on a musical journey through the continent of Latin America. They will be joined by: Eduardo Cisternas - guitar, charango, cuatro, tres, tiple & vocals; Michaela Weyand - flute, quena & vocals; Diego Furian - electric bass & double bass, Marcelo Bellas - drums; Azuzena Alvarez - Latin percussion; Constanza García - flute, quena & zampoña; Cristian Faig - flute, piano & vocals; Oscar Vega - charango, quena, zampoña; and César, Chilean singer-songwriter from Brussels. The support association CREARTE e.V. will offer Chilean empanadas and drinks.
There will also be musical contributions and a live exchange of German and Chilean music students during the event, which will take place within the framework of the "Chat of the Worlds" programme of Engagement Global and the One World Network NRW.
