The Spring Breakdown Festival, founded ten years ago by now, is finally going into the next round this year after a Corona break of almost three years. On 20.08.2022, friends of the metal and hardcore scene will once again have the opportunity to marvel at eight international and local bands live, dance and celebrate - and all of this for the first time in the history of the festival open air in the beautiful Hofgarten Dillenburg.

Already in the past, the music festival, organised by the youth association Di/R/Act e.V. and mainly financed by sponsoring and grants, has enjoyed great popularity. For example, scene greats like Deez Nuts (AUS) or First Blood (USA) have already performed in Dillenburg and thus ensured a complete sell-out. The festival was supposed to start in 2020 with Fit For A King (USA) as the eagerly awaited headliner, but the Corona pandemic and the resulting contact restrictions put a spanner in the works.

After dozens of months of waiting, the organisers are now looking forward to clearing the stage for eight bands. The line-up is headed by scene veterans Evergreen Terrace (USA), who have been showing how to successfully play hardcore music since 1999, thrilling fans worldwide. Skywalker (CZE), a band that has been on the rise for years, will also do the honours at the Spring Breakdown Festival. Furthermore, Brothers Till We Die (SPA) and Additional Time (GER) will provide plenty of energy in front of and on stage. The local heroes of Dying Breed (GER) will also be there to heat up their fans in their home town. Also appearing at the Spring Breakdown Festival for the first time are Empty Home (GER) from Essen, Sun Eater (GER) from southwest Germany and Escape The Madness (GER) from Chemnitz.

A variety of genres will be offered by the bands. From classic metalcore to post-hardcore to melodic hardcore, the bands provide enough variety and thus manage to offer something for every fan of the scene. Furthermore, festival-goers will be provided with classic and vegan food on 20 August.

As usual, the Spring Breakdown Festival is extremely inexpensive with a ticket price of only 16 euros in advance and therefore offers almost everyone the opportunity not to miss the spectacle on 20.08.2022 in the Hofgarten Dillenburg. not to be missed. The event with live music goes on until 00:00.
