On 12 September, the "Open Monument Day" will take place throughout Germany. As part of the theme year Bakehouses, eleven bakehouse communities in the nature park area will open their doors to provide information about the art of baking bread. Many bakehouses also offer all kinds of delicacies from the oven for sale and for tasting. And if you like, you can try your hand at kneading dough or shaping bread yourself.
Backhaus Hohenahr-Groß-Altenstädten: Guided tours of the bakehouse are offered.
