The old loading facility at the Enspel railway siding enabled the Adrian company to transport the heavy basalt to customers in the 20th century. Here, at the end of the Bremsberg, the heavy goods went on their way for many decades, blasted, crushed and collected at the top of the Stöffel. At first, lorries brought the material to the tracks via the Bremsberg, but in the course of technical progress it was transported here by conveyor belt. These two shunting locomotives were used to move the freight wagons for filling. A track scale is still in place. It indicated when the maximum weight was reached, then the next wagon was pushed over, "pulled forward a length". There was room for 30 to 35 wagons, which were finally collected by the Bundesbahn.
Today you can see it in action (again). Locomotive 1 with 45 hp was freed from its slumber in autumn 2017. Christoph Stahl and Hans Pietsch have also been working on the restoration of the loading facility since 2018. And they have overhauled locomotive 2 in two years, until the middle of 2022, to make it operational again - engine, electrics, paintwork, brake system and acceptance by the TÜV. They are available as contact persons for the locomotives.
