Meeting point
After registering via the homepage, you will receive directions. Please do not use the address you find here, as the meeting point is at a different location.
Suitable for
The trekking tours are generally suitable for anyone who feels capable of walking about 5 km through forests and meadows. Since we stroll through the beautiful Westerwald, there are also inclines on our route (about 100 meters of elevation). You should wear sturdy shoes and clothing adapted to the weather conditions.
The taster tour is shorter, and we walk between 1 and 3 km. It is also possible to visit our animals without a hike. For this, simply book an "Alpaca up close".
Children under 10 years of age are not allowed to lead an alpaca alone.
FAQ / good to know
What happens in bad weather?
Our tours take place in any weather, except in case of an official weather warning from the German Weather Service. Here, safety comes first. Of course, we will arrange a replacement date as soon as possible in such cases.
Can I bring a dog?
Unfortunately no. Dogs (even very well-behaved ones) are not allowed to participate, as the alpacas then only focus on the dogs and no longer on us humans.
Can I lead 1 animal with 3 or more people?
Alpacas are very sensitive animals. If the human-to-animal ratio is too unbalanced, they will react with insecurity and will not walk anymore. Therefore, a maximum of 2 people are allowed to lead one animal.
Do we also take a break?
The alpaca trekking and introductory tour includes a short break halfway through. Here you have the opportunity to take photos to your heart's content, have something to drink and enjoy your snack. If the weather conditions make the break very uncomfortable, we will, in rare cases, move it to the end of the tour in the dry barn.
What can I expect from a tour?
First, you will learn some interesting things about the nature of our alpacas and how to interact with these small, friendly camels. You will get to know the little herd at your leisure.
Once all questions have been answered, everyone will receive their animal, and then we will set off. The animals significantly determine our pace, so we do not know exactly how many kilometers we will walk together in advance.
Back at the barn, you can reward your animal with a little bowl of muesli and then, after bidding farewell, release it back onto the meadow.
Is the route suitable for strollers?
We walk along forest paths and meadows. Participation is possible with an outdoor stroller. If you have the opportunity to carry your child, this option is preferable to the stroller.
Is the route wheelchair accessible?
Unfortunately no. We would be happy to arrange individual dates.
What address can I enter into my GPS?
Unfortunately none. Please also do not use the address you find on our homepage. It is our business address and not our meeting point. Please use the directions provided.
Where can I park?
You have the opportunity to park free of charge directly at our meeting point.
Can I take photos?
Yes, you are welcome to do so.
How does payment work?
You can pay on-site.
Can I also buy gift vouchers?
You can conveniently order gift vouchers through the homepage.

You have the option to reschedule your alpaca experience at no cost up to 48 hours before your appointment. Within 48 hours of the actual appointment, the "half/half" principle applies for a rescheduling. This means that the costs for the appointment are shared equally by us and by you as the guest. The same applies if you wish to cancel completely.

Detailed description
Hiking through the Westerwald with alpacas ...
... is always a special experience. In a relaxed atmosphere, you set off with your alpaca through the fascinating nature of the Westerwald. No matter if you decide to go trekking with our boys, or if you would rather just go for a walk, you will experience magical moments.
The trekking tours take place all year round and mostly on weekends. The tour lasts about 2.5 hours.
First you will learn a few things worth knowing about the nature of our alpacas and how to handle these small, friendly camels. You will receive a small snack from us for the road and get to know the small herd in peace.
Once all the questions have been answered, everyone receives their animal and then we set off. The animals determine our pace, so we don't know exactly how many kilometres we will walk together (maximum 5 km).
Approximately halfway through the walk we take a short rest. Here you have the opportunity to take photos to your heart's content, have a drink and eat your snack.
Back at the stables you can reward your animal with a bowl of muesli and then, after saying goodbye to it, let it out into the meadow on its own. Before you start your journey home, with many new impressions in your luggage, there is a little surprise waiting for you.
In addition to the trekking tours, we also offer taster tours that last 1.5 hours. We welcome people who do not want to or cannot walk to come up close to an alpaca.
