New brochure for "Stage hikes in the Westerwald" published

The Westerwald Touristik-Service has published a new, comprehensive brochure entitled "Etappenwandern im Westerwald - WesterwaldSteig, Druidensteig & Wiedweg".

This new publication combines the previously separate brochures on the three popular and certified long-distance hiking trails in the Westerwald for the first time and symbolizes the close cooperation between the three districts of Altenkirchen, Neuwied and Westerwaldkreis.

The new brochure has a particularly user-friendly design and contains a fold-out overview map as well as information on each stage. Each day's stage is presented on a page containing a map, parking options, the route profile, places of interest and a QR code to Outdooractive. The tour planner also provides hikers with detailed information on places to stop for refreshments and overnight accommodation as well as other places of interest. This comprehensive presentation enables hikers to plan their tours optimally and ensures a smooth and informative hiking experience.

A total of 8,000 copies of this new brochure have been printed. It is available free of charge and can be ordered from tourist information offices in the Westerwald and from the Westerwald Tourist Service online at www.westerwald.info/tosc5/prospekte.

Another highlight is the extension of the Wiedweg by an additional stage, which was carried out in cooperation with the Westerwald-Verein e. V. (Westerwald Association). The starting point of the Wiedweg was moved from Linden to the site of the Westerwald brewery in Hachenburg. The new stage is 9.5 kilometers long, which means that the Wiedweg now comprises a total of eight daily stages. These changes are already visible and described in detail in the Rhineland-Palatinate tour planner. Interested parties can view the new stage at www.westerwald.info/wiedweg.

The new brochure is another result of the excellent cooperation between the three districts. The Westerwald Touristik-Service invites all hiking enthusiasts to discover the new and extended possibilities in the Westerwald and is looking forward to getting even more people excited about stage hiking in this beautiful region.
