Very nice and helpful staff! The friendly lady at the counter plundered the petty cash for me to help me out with 1 euro coins for the somewhat gluttonous electricity machine at the camper van site. (Which, by the way, none of the three bank branches in the town were able to do.) The resulting chat was also very nice and of the pleasant variety. Thank you very much!

Beautiful old town and nice cafés with reasonable prices. The staff at the tourist information office in Hachenburg were very helpful, friendly and very accommodating with a minor health problem. Highly recommended!

Two more partners honored for sustainable tourism in the Westerwald

Westerwald, 20.01.2025. Sustainable tourism in the Westerwald continues to gain in importance: with the tourist information office of the Altenkirchen-Flammersfeld municipality and the Charlotte vacation apartment in Hachenburg, two more players have been officially recognized as partners in the "Sustainable Destination Westerwald" network. During a joint presentation of certificates, the Westerwald Tourism Service recognized the consistent commitment of both partners to ecological responsibility, regional added value and social quality.
