The Steinsel at the Nature Trail Weltende are located in the valley of the Nister near Stein-Wingert and are among the special nature experiences in Hachenburg Westerwald. Large stone blocks make it possible to cross the shallow riverbed here, making this section a popular destination on the hiking trail. Due to their simple and natural design, the Steinsel do not appear artificially created, but rather integrate harmoniously into the landscape of the Kroppacher Schweiz. The Nature Trail Weltende leads through narrow forest paths, along rocks and viewpoints, offering quiet vistas of the Nister valley along the way. The Steinsel are considered one of the small highlights of the trail and invite many hikers to take a short break by the water. Especially on warm days, a relaxed atmosphere is created here with the typical sound of the flowing stream and much nature all around. However, crossing is weather-dependent, as the water level can rise after prolonged rainfall, making the stones slippery or hard to pass.
