Especially for guests with disabilities, detailed and above all reliable information about the usability and experienceability of tourist offers is an essential basis for travel decisions. The Hachenburg Westerwald Tourist Information Office has adapted to the needs of guests with disabilities and has been awarded the "Travel for All - Accessibility Tested" seal for its special efforts.
Creating more accessibility - this is the goal that Rheinland-Pfalz Tourismus GmbH (RPT) has been strategically pursuing for many years on behalf of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. RPT is a licensee of the nationwide "Travel for All" labeling system and supports businesses in designing existing and new tourism offers in such a way that everyone can enjoy their trip without restrictions. The tourist information office in Hachenburg has also adopted this strategy and has been certified by an external auditor on various criteria such as accessibility for deaf, blind and walking-impaired people.
Of course, "Travel for All" not only helps people with mobility or sensory impairments, but also older people or families with children. They can all check online in advance whether, for example, door widths, movement areas or special services are available and make their travel decisions on the basis of this reliable information - for an enjoyable and carefree vacation.
You can find lots of useful information on the newly designed homepage of the tourist information office at www.hachenburger-westerwald.de under the heading "Barrier-free travel".
