On the trail of the witch Walburga

With the bailiff and the night watchman in search of the dreaded witch Walburga

First witch hunt in Hachenburg!

The first brave witch hunters joined the bailiff and the night watchman on their search for the dreaded witch Walburga through the Lion City of Hachenburg.

As dusk fell, the first hunt for the dreaded witch Walburga began through the medieval town of Hachenburg. Her eerie laughter echoed across the old market square, sending shivers down the spines of the assembled families before the witch herself entered the market square.
In front of all the children and adults, she poisoned the Lion Fountain with a mysterious liquid as the first act of the evening.
Together with the night watchman and the castle bailiff, the witch hunters set off in pursuit of the witch to put a stop to her at the end. Families with children were actively involved in the pursuit of Walburga. Of course, there was also a bit of spookiness involved.
But the moving history of our town was not neglected on this tour either. Before the tour, each family was given a questionnaire about the town's history, which was answered in a fun way during the witch hunt.
Once all the questions had been answered and the witch's magical powers had been taken away, both the older and younger witch hunters received a small surprise.
We were delighted that Ms. Hoffmann-Heidrich from the Rhein-Zeitung newspaper took part in this first tour and wrote a wonderful report about it.
