Detailed description

The castle ruins of Steinebach were the ancestral seat of the knights of Steinebach and were probably built in the 12th century as the residence of a local low noble family, although this founding date is not historically documented.
The very small castle complex has never played a historical role.

The stone archway at the water ditch invites you to linger.
