Ready for an adventure? Your circular route begins in enchanting Hachenburg. Right at the start, enjoy the breathtaking panoramic view into the Nister valley. If you like, take a short detour to the Cistercian Abbey Marienstatt, where one of the oldest Gothic basilicas in Germany awaits you. Refreshed, continue through Streithausen and Luckenbach before mastering the climb to Limbach. Here, from a high plateau, you can enjoy the impressive view of the Kroppacher Switzerland. Then proceed through charming towns that offer you a magnificent view all the way to the Siebengebirge.
Your path leads you to the Upper Wied valley, one of the largest nature reserves, where you can experience untouched nature. Soon you reach the largest lake of the Westerwald lake district, a paradise for animals and plants. From the observation tower on the Gräbersberg you get another panorama over the Westerwald. Then it goes back to Hachenburg, where your exciting route ends.
Use the motorway exits BAB 3, Cologne - Frankfurt: exit 37-Dierdorf; BAB 3, Frankfurt - Cologne: exit 40-Montabaur; BAB 45, Dortmund - Frankfurt: exit 20-Freudenberg. From east and west via B414 to Hachenburg; from south via B413 to Hachenburg.
By train: (www.bahn.de) to Hachenburg station; ICE station Montabaur, bus connection to Hachenburg with one transfer (32 km).
Parking directly at the station or at the Cinexx cinema, parking lot below the castle garden (motorhome parking), parking garage at Johann-August-Ring.
Your route starts in Hachenburg and takes you through diverse landscapes. Admire the view into the Nister valley and visit the Cistercian Abbey Marienstatt. Overcome climbs and enjoy fantastic views. Discover the Upper Wied valley and the largest lake of the Westerwald lake district. The Gräbersberg and the Hachenburg city forest form the conclusion of your adventure.

Distribute the weight of your equipment evenly on your body and bike. Consider appropriate clothing for changing weather. Don’t forget tools, repair kit, and emergency equipment. Navigate with map or GPS.
Take a break in the beer garden of the Cistercian Abbey Marienstatt and taste the delicious Abbey beer.
