The Catholic parish church of Ascension of Mary was built in the 13th century by the Teutonic Order. From this time, only the tower with double arcades divided by Ionic columns on the upper floor has been preserved. Two of its sound holes bear the Teutonic Order cross, indicating its builders.
The bell was cast in 1694 by Johannes Berdaller from Koblenz-Ehrenbreitstein.
The nave was newly constructed from 1876 to 1878 after the earlier structure was demolished. After destruction during World War II, the church was gradually renovated (1950-1976) and newly painted according to historical models.
Most recently, the church was completely restored in 2012.
Built by the Teutonic Order at the beginning of the 13th century.
