The Westerwald Brewery is a family-owned brewery run by Jens Geimer in its 5th generation.
The award-winning beers are primarily sold in the geographical region of Westerwald and neighboring areas in upscale gastronomy and well-managed specialized and grocery retail. The medium-sized company, with about 80 employees and 10 apprentices, is famous for brewing with 100% aroma hops and a 6-week maturation period. As a result, the Westerwald Brewery has been included in the Values Association of Slow Brewers, which certifies it annually. Furthermore, the family brewery can count itself among the first German breweries to present a Common Good Balance Sheet as part of the Common Good Economy, thereby laying the foundation for the company's strategic orientation towards sustainable and ethical business practices.
Since October 2021, the medium-sized brewery has also been 100% climate-neutral through compensation with a certified climate protection project according to Scope 1, 2, and 3. The entire "Experience Brewery" with the attached beer park can be visited at any time – including all production areas – because transparency is a matter close to the heart.
