Based on research about the local regional history, the idea was born within the local communities of Steinebach an der Wied to artistically highlight and make the landscape's characteristics experienceable through cultural and landscape symbols in the form of five "sculptures by the path and stream".- Basalt column with an embedded "W" and a bronze round bar entwined as a symbol for the stream Wied- Female figure made of oak wood as a synonym for the field designations "Frauwiese" and "Minneswiese"- Symbolized meadow weir made of steel and wood to commemorate the former agricultural use of meadow irrigation- Three-legged pilgrims' cross (Holy Trinity cross) as a symbol for a historical pilgrimage route to Dreifelden towards the oldest stone church in the Westerwald- Spring symbol for the "Heiligenborn" (The use as drinking water is evidenced by a concentration of finds of old drinking vessel shards)Idea, text, and photos:Dipl.-Ing Gerhard HachenbergOffice for Engineering and Environmental Planningg.hachenberg@iu-plan.de
